Hello Tummy Heroes and Urban Home Chef’s,
In this section, we are going to cover yet another story of a passionate home chef Rathna.
How her journey started
I am a small chef from Bangalore who is eager about cooking and making people happy with my cooking. It all started in lockdown when everything was shut. I had abundant time to pay attention to my hobbies, so I decided to start cooking. During the start, it was frustrating and infuriating when my food would not turn out to be how I imagined it to be. But I learnt to be patient, calm and hopeful. After a few tries, I finally achieved the excellence and the superiority in taste that I was aiming for. I realised that I am made for cooking since my family and friends loved my hand-cooked meals.
I started baking sweets and then slowly cooking meals for friends. I started receiving orders from friends of friends and other unknown customers. While I love experimenting in the kitchen, I am also excited to interact with my customers across various platforms.
Every dish is given utmost attention so that it is cooked with care and love. I maintain my kitchen well and keep it clean and hygienic. I look forward to continuing to serve my customers with an ever-growing list of dishes to select from! I truly appreciate all the love and support that I have gotten this past year. ⠀⠀⠀
Her Speciality and favourites
I make a variety of dishes with rice like sambhar rice, tomato rice, pulao, ghee rice, Uppittu, etc. These are the best selling dishes as we have a unique and delicious homemade taste. My homemade gulab jamun are extra special and in demand since they are soft and have the perfect amount of sweetness.
Her tip to fellow Chefs!
“Live what you do and never lose hope.”
